PCR2013002RESOLUTION #P.C. 002-2013 RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL TO REZONE A PORTION OF THE SCHMIDT PROPERTY FROM SW - SHORELAND DISTRICT TO RL-3 LAKESHORE RESIDENCE DISTRICT LOCATED IN THE SW ¼ OF SECTION 4 (TAX KEY NO. 2175.996 / W187 S7160 GOLD DRIVE) WHEREAS, A petition for a rezoning was submitted by Don Reidy to rezone a portion of the Schmidt property from SW – Shoreland Wetland District to RL-3 – Lakeshore Residence District, and WHEREAS, The reason for the request is to correct where wetlands truly are on the property and for the property to be allowed proper building setbacks for any future buildings, and WHEREAS, The rezoning request does not require a 2020 Comprehensive Plan Amendment, and WHEREAS, The proposed zoning district is already found on the existing property and on properties in this area, and WHEREAS, A Public Hearing for the rezoning is before the Common Council on January 22, 2013, and WHEREAS, The property is currently served by public sewer and private water. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby recommend approval to the Common Council for the rezoning from the SW – Shoreland Wetland District to RL-3 – Lakeshore Residence District for a portion of the Schmidt property located in the SW ¼ of Section 4 (Tax Key No. 2175.996 / W187 S7160 Gold Drive).
