RESOLUTION #097-2018
RESOLUTION AS TO THE
RIGHT-OF-WAY BETWEEN BELLVIEW DRIVE AND BAY LANE DRIVE
WHEREAS, As part of the Bay Lane Drive Reconstruction Project, City staff
recommended to the Public Works and Safety Committee to connect Bellview Drive to
Bay Lane Drive as it would be the most cost effective time to make this connection; and
WHEREAS, Currently Bellview Drive does not connect to Bay Lane Drive but a right-of-
way exists for the purpose of connecting the roads per the City’s previous plan; and
WHEREAS, There is not an existing cul-de-sac at the end of Bellview Drive; and
WHEREAS, At its meeting held on October 16, 2018, the Public Works and Safety
Committee recommended to not connect and vacate the right-of-way between Bellview
Drive and Bay Lane Drive in lieu of making the connection; and
WHEREAS, This matter came before the Common Council on November 13, 2018 for
discussion; the proposed Resolution was amended at that time on the floor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby declare that Bellview Drive shall remain as is with there being no
connection to Bay Lane Drive at this time.
