RESOLUTION #064-2018
RESOLUTION AS TO REQUEST FROM
WATER BUGS SKI TEAM, INC. FOR JULY 3 2018
WHEREAS, The City received a request from the Water Bugs Ski Team, Inc. to do two
2-minute ski runs at Idle Isle on July 3, 2018 as a promotional event with Channel 58;
and
WHEREAS, The ski runs are scheduled for 5:45 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. and may require
setup, including the start of a boat engine, prior to 5:45 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, Section 9.05 of the City Municipal Code states, “No person shall make or
cause to be made any loud, disturbing, or unnecessary sounds or noises such as may
tend to annoy or disturb another in or about any public street, alley, or park or any
private residence”; and
WHEREAS, Section 20.025 of the City Municipal Code states, “No one shall operate a
motorboat upon Little Muskego Lake between the hours of 8:30 P.M. and 8:00 A.M. at a
speed in excess of slow-no-wake”; and
WHEREAS, It would be in the best interest of the City for the Common Council to
formally waive the above-stated municipal ordinance regulations to approve the
request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby temporarily waive the ordinance regulations in Sections 9.05
and 20.025 of the City of Muskego Municipal Code for July 3, 2018 and does hereby
approve the request of the Water Bugs Ski Team, Inc. subject to the Water Bugs Ski
Team, Inc. working with the Lake Association and using social media to notify the area
residents.
