RESOLUTION #051-2018
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF APPROXIMATELY
$24,185,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS
WHEREAS it is necessary and in the best interest of the City of Muskego, Waukesha
County, Wisconsin (the "City") to refund its General Obligation Promissory Notes, Series
2016A, dated July 26, 2016; Note Anticipation Notes, Series 2017A, dated December 27, 2017;
and Water System Revenue Bonds, dated September 1, 2008 (collectively, the "Refunded
Obligations");
WHEREAS it is desirable to borrow the funds needed to refund the Refunded
Obligations through the issuance of general obligation refunding bonds pursuant to Section
67.04, Wisconsin Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
Section 1. The Bonds. The City shall issue its General Obligation Refunding Bonds (the
"Bonds") in the amount of approximately $24,185,000 for the purpose above specified.
Section 2. Sale of Bonds. The Common Council hereby authorizes and directs that the
sale of the Bonds be negotiated with Hutchinson, Shockey, Erley & Co. At a subsequent
meeting, the Common Council shall consider the proposed terms of the Bonds and take action to
approve the issuance and sale of the Bonds.
Section 3. Official Statement. The City Clerk shall cause an Official Statement
concerning this issue to be prepared. The appropriate City officials shall determine when the
Official Statement is final for purposes of Securities and Exchange Commission Rule 15c2-12
and shall certify said Statement, such certification to constitute full authorization of such
Statement under this resolution.
