RESOLUTION #055-2017
AWARD OF BID
Mercury Drive Elevated Tank Painting
WHEREAS, The City advertised for bids for the Mercury Drive Elevated Tank Painting
Project and the following bids were received:
Base Bid
Classic Protective Coatings, Inc. $389,950.00
Utility Service Co., Inc. $449,900.00
TMI Coatings, Inc. $477,000.00
WHEREAS, The City Engineer reviewed the bids and recommends that the base bid in
the amount of $389,950.00 as well as the alternate to paint the City logo on the tank in
the amount of $8,500 submitted by Classic Protective Coatings, Inc. be accepted for a
total cost of $398,450.00; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the bids and concurs with the
recommendation of the City Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby accept the
bids submitted by Classic Protective Coatings, Inc. in the total amount of $398,450.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are authorized to
sign a Contract setting forth the terms of the Agreement consistent with the bid proposal
in the name of the City and the City Attorney is authorized to make substantive changes
to the Contract as may be necessary in order to preserve the general intent thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor is authorized to sign such substantive
changes made by the City Attorney.
