CCR2017029-Bid-Roads COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO RESOLUTION #029-2017 AWARD OF BID 2017 Road Improvement Program WHEREAS, The City advertised for bids for the 2017 Road Improvement Program and the following bids were received: Bidder Total Base Bid Alternate Bid Total Selected Payne & Dolan $373,859.20 $289,756.85 $663,616.05 Stark Pavement Corp. $388,425.50 $303,254.75 $691,680.25 WHEREAS, The City Engineer reviewed the bids and recommends that the base bid in the amount of $373,859.20 as well as the alternate bid in the amount of $289,756.85 submitted by Payne & Dolan be accepted for a total amount of $663,616.05; and WHEREAS, The Finance Committee reviewed the bids and recommended that the total bid in the amount of $663,616.05 be awarded to Payne & Dolan for the 2017 Road Improvement Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby accept the bids submitted by Payne & Dolan in the total amount of $663,616.05. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are authorized to sign the contract in the name of the City and the City Attorney is authorized to make substantive changes to the contract as may be necessary in order to preserve the general intent thereof.
