COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #067-2013
APPROVAL OF IMPLEMENTATION OF A
CANINE UNIT FOR THE MUSKEGO POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, The Police Chief has recommended implementation of a canine unit, which
would benefit the department and citizens of Muskego; and
WHEREAS, The community has expressed support for implementation of a police
canine program and fundraising efforts to assist with the cost have been initiated; and
WHEREAS, The start-up cost for the program is approximately $48,000, which will be
offset by any money raised through fundraising efforts; and
WHEREAS, The Public Safety Committee and Finance Committee have recommended
approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Safety Committee and Finance
Committee, does hereby approve implementation of a canine unit for the Muskego
Police Department.
