COMMON COUNCIL – CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #035-2013
APPROVAL OF RESCUE FUND CLOSING
WHEREAS, Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department assumed the responsibility for all
rescue billing regarding patient transports as of January 1, 2012; and
WHEREAS, The approximate balance in the Special Revenue Rescue Fund is $42,500,
which should be allocated for ambulance service operating expenditures; and
WHEREAS, Tess Corners has purchased a new rescue squad and new defibrillators
will be needed in the future; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has recommended that the remaining balance in
the Special Revenue Rescue Fund be disbursed to Tess Corners to help offset the
rescue squad purchase as well as future equipment expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve
that the remaining balance in the Special Revenue Rescue Fund be disbursed to Tess
Corners Volunteer Fire Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That with the adoption of the resolution, the Special
Revenue Rescue Fund will officially be closed as of December 31, 2012.
