COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #001-2013
APPROVAL OF SEVERANCE PAY PLAN AND
SEPARATION AGREEMENT AND GENERAL RELEASE
WHEREAS, With the adoption of the 2013 operating budget, the Common Council of the City of
Muskego approved the elimination of the Floater position and creation of a part-time Customer
Service Clerk position; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee discussed awarding severance pay for such employee
affected by the position elimination; and
WHEREAS, The Committee recommended a payment of 25 hours per years of service and
three months of health insurance allowance payment of such for employee where their position
has been eliminated; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the proposed severance package and has
recommended approval subject to employee executing the “Separation Agreement and General
Release.”
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve the severance pay
package as outlined on the attached spreadsheet and the attached “Separation Agreement and
General Release.”
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the affected employee will be paid in accordance with the
terms of the “Separation Agreement and General Release” and only upon execution of the
same.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Special Revenue Compensated Absences Fund will be
used for payment of the severance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor is authorized to sign the agreement and release
form in the name of the City.
