APPROVAL OF A BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PLAN AMENDMENT FOR A PARK
SHELTER AT IDLE ISLE PARK IN THE NW ¼ OF SECTION 4
(TAX KEY NO. 2174.959 / W182 S6666 HARDTKE DRIVE)
WHEREAS, On August 17, 2005 plans were submitted by the City of Muskego for an amendment
to a Building, Site and Operation Plan for a new park shelter at Idle Isle Park located in the NW ¼
of Section 4 (Tax Key No. 2174.959 / W182 S6666 Hardtke Drive), and
WHEREAS, The petitioner is proposing to construct a new 40’ x 54’ enclosed park shelter with an
additional 40’ x 28’ open side covered area, and
WHEREAS, The site currently consists of an existing park shelter that is going to be removed, and
WHEREAS, Said property is zoned RS-3/OIP Suburban Residence District with an Institution and
Public Service Overlay, and said use is a permitted use by right subject to Building Site and
Operation Plan approvals, and
WHEREAS, The new shelter will be constructed out of painted cementitious siding (i.e. hardi-
plank), painted polymer trim board, and architectural dimensional shingles, and
WHEREAS, The color of the siding, trim, and shingles will be earth tones, similar to the Veterans
Park Shelter, and
WHEREAS, There is a parking lot currently on the north and eastern portions of the park, and
WHEREAS, There are two (2) new wall lights shown on the plans above the two (2) doors on the
rear (North side) of the building, and
WHEREAS, Stormwater management is not needed since there is less than half an acre of
impervious surfaces being added.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of an amendment to a
Building, Site and Operation Plan for a new park shelter at Idle Isle Park located in the NW ¼ of
Section 4 (Tax Key No. 2174.959 / W182 S6666 Hardtke Drive).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department
and that all aspect of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the
Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution
shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
