APPROVAL OF A BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PLAN AMENDMENT FOR A BACK-UP
GENERATOR FOR VERIZON WIRELESS IN THE SE ¼ OF SECTION 12
WE ENERGIES RIGHT-OF-WAY (BEHIND TAX KEY NO. 2207.999)
WHEREAS, On July 13, 2005 a Building Site and Operation Plan amendment was submitted by
Peter Schau for Verizon for the placement of a back-up generator at an existing
telecommunications site located in the SE ¼ of Section 12, and
WHEREAS, The location received Planning Commission approval for a stealth wireless
communications facility as per Resolution #P.C. 218-2000, and
WHEREAS, The petitioner is requesting to place a back-up generator within a fenced area near
an existing Verizon equipment shelter within the WE Energies right-of-way behind Tudor Oaks,
and
WHERES, The submitted plan includes a 7’ x 20 ‘ expansion of the existing fenced area, and
WHEREAS, Said property is currently zoned RS-2/OPD, Suburban Residence District with a
Planned Development Overlay, and the existing tower and equipment shelter have been
previously approved by the Plan Commission, and
WHEREAS, The location of the proposed back-up generator is approximately 1,500 feet away
from McShane Drive, and
WHEREAS, The back-up generator would be used only in emergency situations.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of a Building, Site and
Operation Plan amendment submitted by Peter Schau for Verizon for the placement of a back-up
generator at an existing telecommunications site located in the SE ¼ of Section 12.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That buildings permits are still required before the unit is installed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building
Department and that all aspects of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise
authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this
resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or
both.
