PCR2005043 RESOLUTION #P.C.043-2005 APPROVAL OF A BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PLAN AMENDMENT FOR SPECTRUM ALUMINUM LOCATED IN THE NW ¼ OF SECTION 16 (TAX KEY NO. 2221.014 / S80 W18753 APOLLO DRIVE) WHEREAS, On March 2, 2005 plans were submitted by Larry Johnson for an amendment to a Building, Site and Operation Plan for Spectrum Aluminum located in the NW ¼ of Section 16 (Tax Key No. 2221.014 / S80 W18753 Apollo Drive), and WHEREAS, Said property is zoned I-1 Industrial Park District, and said use is a permitted use by right subject to Building Site and Operation Plan approvals, and WHEREAS, The site currently consists of one industrial use structure, and WHEREAS, The Petitioner proposes to add an elevated cooling tower to the rear of his building, and WHEREAS, The cooling tower is necessary for the daily operation of the Aluminum Finishing Business, and WHEREAS, The cooling unit is placed up on steel stilts and is the same height of the principal building, and WHEREAS, The location of the tower is screened within a fenced area. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of an amended Building, Site and Operation Plan for Larry Johnson for an amendment to a Building, Site and Operation Plan for Spectrum Aluminum located in the NW ¼ of Section 16 (Tax Key No. 2221.014 / S80 W18753 Apollo Drive) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the stilts and the cooling unit are both to be painted tan to match the building color. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Building and Engineering Department will need calculations/information regarding the structural stability of the tower from an Engineer or Architect before any occupancy is granted for the building. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
