APPROVAL OF THE AMENDED GENERAL DESIGN GUIDE AND
RECOMMENDATION TO THE COMMON COUNCIL TO AMEND CHAPTER 41,
COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, TO ADOPT THE SAME
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego maintains a General Design Guide in order to
serve as a reference in guiding and reviewing future development for citizens,
developers, and commissioners, and
WHEREAS, Said guide sets the minimum design standard for building, site, and
operation plans that are to be submitted to the City for more complete and
accurate Planning Staff and Plan Commission review, and
WHEREAS, Said guide is prepared under the authority of Section 62.23 of the
Wisconsin State Statutes and Chapter 17, Section 6.11 of the City of Muskego
Zoning Ordinance being deemed necessary to promote the public health, safety,
morals and welfare of the City of Muskego, and
WHEREAS, The General Design Guide was previously adopted as per PC
Resolution #244-1997 and requires updates to better represent current City of
Muskego planning practices, and
WHEREAS, A public hearing to consider the recommendations of the amended
General Design Guide has been scheduled before the Common Council on
December 14, 2004.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission adopt the City of
Muskego Design Manual to be used as a reference source for guiding and
reviewing future development for citizens, developers and Plan Commission
members of the City of Muskego.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommend the
adoption of the amended General Design Guide to the Common Council.
