PCR2004101AMENDED RESOLUTION #P.C. 101-2004 APPROVAL OF A MONUMENT SIGN FOR LINCOLN STATE BANK LOCATED IN THE NW ¼ OF SECTION 1 (S63 W13510 JANESVILLE RD. / TAX KEY NO. 2162.999.001) WHEREAS, On September 7, 2004 plans were submitted by Poblocki & Sons for a monument sign for Lincoln State Bank located at S63 W13510 Janesville Road (Tax Key No. 2162.999.001), and WHEREAS, The monument sign is proposed to be composed of three signage sections totaling 73.4 square feet in area and standing 11 feet tall, and would be located with a 20-foot setback from the Janesville Road right-of-way, and WHEREAS, One section of the sign is proposed to have an electronic message board that will be lit with LED’s of a “soft amber” color, and WHEREAS, The property is zoned RS-2/OHS Suburban Residence with Highway Service Overlay, and said signage conforms with the requirements of Section 6.09 of the Zoning Ordinance and requires Plan Commission approval prior to the issuance of a building and zoning permit, and WHEREAS, There is no landscaping shown on the site plan. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the 73.4 square foot monument sign for Lincoln State Bank, located at S63 W13510 Janesville Road as depicted in the September 7, 2004 submittal. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a landscape plan will need to be submitted for the area around the base of the sign according to the Tess Corners Design Guide before the sign can be installed on the property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspect of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the LED reader board will only change once daily and that the messages cannot be scrolling or animated.
