PCR2004073RESOLUTION #P.C. 073-2004 APPROVAL OF A MONUMENT SIGN FOR E.J. SALENTINE AUTO LOCATED AT S66 W14444 JANESVILLE ROAD (S66 W14444 JANESVILLE ROAD / TAX KEY NO. 2165.973) WHEREAS, On June 8, 2003, plans were submitted for two monument signs for E.J. Salentine Auto, located at S66 W14444 Janesville Road, and WHEREAS, The monument signs are proposed to be 36 square feet and 16 square feet in area totaling 52 square feet in area, and would be located with an 2 foot setback from the Janesville Road right-of-way, and WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-3 General Business District, and said signage conforms with the requirements of Section 6.09 of the Zoning Ordinance and requires Plan Commission approval prior to the issuance of a building and zoning permit, and WHEREAS, The property is part of the area that is covered by the Tess Corners Design Guide, and the monument signs meet the specification of the design guide, and WHEREAS, A revised BSO was approved by Plan Commission for this site as per PC Resolution # 026-2004 and that approval shows ample landscaping for Janesville Road monument signage. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves a 36 square foot monument sign and a 16 square foot monument sign for E.J. Salentine Auto, located at S66 W14444 Janesville Road as depicted in the June 8, 2003 submittal. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the base of the sign will need to be concrete, stamped with a brick pattern and colored to match the color of the existing building. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the signs will have an ample landscaping base, as depicted in the approved landscape plan as per PC Resolution #026-2004. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspect of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
