PCR2004047RESOLUTION #P.C. 047-2004 RECOMMENDATION TO THE COMMON COUNCIL TO ESTABLISH FEES FOR PARK AND CONSERVATION DEDICATION WHEREAS, Park Dedication fees of $600 per unit are required at the time of signing and recording of any new land division in the City of Muskego, and WHEREAS, The City has acquired the services of Ruekert and Mielke to conduct new studies providing documentation and justification for an updated park dedication fee and a new conservation dedication fee, and WHEREAS, Said dedication fee studies are consistent with the adopted Park and Open Space Plan and the City’s Conservation Plan, and WHEREAS, The Park Dedication Fee Study was recommended for approval by the Park and Recreation Board on January 12, 2004, and WHEREAS, The Conservation Dedication Fee Study was recommended for approval by the Conservation Commission on February 9, 2004, and WHEREAS, Planning staff has reviewed said studies and the new fees proposed and has recommended the following new fees: Park Dedication Fee Single-Family: $2690.00/unit Multi-Family: $2,000.00/unit Conservation Fee Single-Family/Multi-Family/Non-resident: $580.00/acre Conservation Trails Fee Single-Family: $60.00/unit Multi-Family: $45.00/unit THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends to the Common Council that the fees recommended above be implemented for the City of Muskego. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a council resolution should reflect text that would, in effect, “grandfather” the current dedication fees for pending developments.
