PCR2004044AMENDED RESOLUTION #P.C. 044-2004 RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO REZONE LANDS AND APPLY 2010 AMENDMENTS TO LANDS ALONG THE MOORLAND CORRIDOR BETWEEN COLLEGE AVENUE AND JANESVILLE ROAD LOCATED IN THE NW ¼ AND SW ¼ OF SECTION 2 AND NE 1/4 AND SE ¼ OF SECTION 3 WHEREAS, On January 27, 2004 the City of Muskego adopted the Economic Development Strategic Plan which posed major recommendations concerning the future of the Moorland Corridor lands, and WHEREAS, On February 26, 2004 the City of Muskego held a Public Informational Meeting concerning the lands under petition and all parties were allowed to make comments and suggestions relating to the rezoning, and WHEREAS, A Public Hearing for the rezoning has been scheduled before the Common Council on March 23, 2004, and WHEREAS, It is proposed to rezone the property from RSE Suburban Estate, RS-1 Suburban Residence District, and B-3 General Business District to RS-2 Suburban Residence District, RSA Single-Family Attached District, RSA/OIP Single-Family Attached District with a Institution and Public Service Overlay District, BP-1 Business Park and Office Park Support District, BP-2 Office Park District, BP-3 Business Park District, and BP-3/OIP Business Park District with a Institution and Public Service Overlay District, and WHEREAS, The map attached as part of this resolution shows the exact proposed zoning changes, and THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby recommend approval to the Common Council for the rezoning of approximately 300 acres from RSE Suburban Estate, RS-1 Suburban Residence District, and B-3 General Business District to RS-2 Suburban Residence District, RSA Single-Family Attached District, RSA/OIP Single-Family Attached District with a Institution and Public Service Overlay District, BP-1 Business Park and Office Park Support District, BP-2 Office Park District, BP-3 Business Park District, and BP-3/OIP Business Park District with a Institution and Public Service Overlay District and 2010 Plan Amendments based on the proposed zoning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission is receptive to unsubstantial amendments to the proposal based on public suggestions and recommendations. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, To significantly reduce or eliminate the RSA density in the Chamberlain Hills and Glenbrook Subdivision areas.
