APPROVAL OF WALL SIGNS FOR DISCOVERY DAYS CHILDCARE LOCATED
ON JANESVILLE ROAD (TAX KEY NO. 2192.976)
WHEREAS, On March 4, 2004, plans were submitted for a wall sign for Discovery Days
Childcare by Kris Kraussel (Tax Key No. 2192.976), and
WHEREAS, The proposal consists of two signs totaling 62.78 square feet in area and
would be located on the east façade of the building, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-2/OPD Local Service Center with a Planned
Development Overlay District, and said signage conforms with the requirements of
Section 6.09 of the Zoning Ordinance and requires Plan Commission approval prior to
the issuance of a building and zoning permit, and
WHEREAS, A white channel letter sign totaling 26.46 square feet that is internally
luminated by white neon is proposed, and
WHEREAS, A black and white wall sign totaling 36.32 square feet that is internally
luminated by white fluorescent light is proposed.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves two wall signs
totaling 62.78 square foot for Discovery Days Childcare, located on Janesville Road (Tax
Key No. 2192.976) as depicted in the March 4, 2004 submittal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a
copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspect of this
plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan
Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in
this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of
legal action, or both.
