RESOLUTION #P.C. 001-2004
APPROVAL OF WALL MOUNTED SIGNS FOR MUSKEGO HEALTH AND
WELLNESS CENTER AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE SE ¼ OF SECTION 8
(W188 S7830 RACINE AVENUE / TAX KEY NO. 2192.980.005)
WHEREAS, On December 30, 2003 plans for five (5) wall mounted signs were submitted by Robert
Hoorman for Muskego Health and Wellness located in the SE ¼ of Section 8, and
WHEREAS, On February 27, 2004 new specifications were submitted by Robert Hoorman for Muskego
Health and Wellness located in the SE ¼ of Section 8, and
WHEREAS, The west elevation has an existing approved 19.125 square-foot wall sign and will have two
(2) additional signs totaling 16 square feet that would be internally illuminated wall mounted signs, and
WHEREAS, The north elevation will have two (2) signs totaling 20 square feet that would be internally
illuminated wall mounted signs, and
WHEREAS, The south elevation will have one (1) sign totaling 10 square feet that would be an internally
illuminated wall mounted sign, and
WHEREAS, The sign is to be constructed with a white or red face and to be illuminated with red neon
lamps, and
WHEREAS, Section 17:6.09(6) of the Municipal Code limits the size of wall signs to 3-percent of the wall
area, and the west and north wall areas of the structure equal 1,257 square feet, resulting in an
aggregate wall sign size of 37.7 square feet each, and the south wall area of the structure equals 1,204
square feet, resulting in an aggregate wall sign size of 36.1 square feet, and
WHEREAS, Signage specifications accompany the submittal.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the locations and sizes of five (5)
wall mounted signs for Muskego Health and Wellness Center totaling 46 square feet in area located at
W188 S7830 Racine Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That tenants will need staff approval upon necessity of an individual sign
that meets the requirements of the approved locations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans and signage specifications shall be kept on file in the
Building Department and that all aspect of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise
authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall
result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
