PCR2003164RESOLUTION #P.C. 164-2003 RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO REZONE LAND FROM B-2 LOCAL SERVICE CENTER DISTRICT AND RSA/OIP ATTACHED SINGLE- FAMILY DISTRICT WITH AN INSTITUTION AND PUBLIC SERVICE OVERLAY DISTRICT TO HC-1 TESS CORNERS HISTORIC CROSSROADS DISTRICT FOR CERTAIN LAND LOCATED IN THE SW ¼ OF SECTION 2 (SW CORNER OF JANESVILLE ROAD AND DURHAM DRIVE) WHEREAS, On November 14, 2003 a petition for an amendment to the Official Zoning Map was submitted by Lynn Kurer, and WHEREAS, Said amendment would reclassify the parcel known as Tax Key No. 2167.997 from B-2 Local Service Center District and a portion of Tax Key No. 2167.998 from RSA/OIP Attached Single-Family District with an Institution and Public Service Overlay to HC-1 Tess Corners Historic Crossroads District, and WHEREAS, A Public Hearing regarding the petition was scheduled before the Common Council on December 9, 2003, and WHEREAS, The adjacent properties to the east are zoned RS-3/OIP Suburban Residence District with an Institution and Public Services Overlay District, and WHEREAS, The adjacent properties to the west are zoned RSA/OIP Attached Single- Family District with an Institution and Public Services Overlay District, and WHEREAS, The adjacent properties to the south are zoned RSA/OPD Attached Single- Family District with a Planned Development Overlay District, and THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby recommend approval to the Common Council to rezone the parcel known as Tax Key No. 2167.997 from B-2 Local Service Center District and a portion of Tax Key No. 2167.998 from RSA/OIP Attached Single-Family District with an Institution and Public Service Overlay to HC-1 Tess Corners Historic Crossroads District.
