APPROVAL OF LANDSCAPE PLAN FOR WALGREEN’S LOCATED IN THE NW ¼ OF
SECTION 16 AND NE ¼ OF SECTION 17
(TAX KEY NOs. 2222.984.002, 2225.987.988, 2225.989 AND 2225.990)
WHEREAS, On September 8, 2003 a Landscape Plan was submitted by Redmond Co. on behalf
of Walgreen’s located in the NW ¼ of Section 16 and the NE ¼ of Section 17, and
WHEREAS, The plan illustrates foundation and perimeter plantings and screening, and a
diversity of species as recommended by the Conservation Coordinator / City Forester, and
WHEREAS, The City Forester has recommended additional changes to the landscape plan in a
memorandum dated September 8, 2003, and
WHEREAS, Planting sizes shall be a minimum of 1.5 – 2” caliper for deciduous trees, 6-feet
minimum height for coniferous trees, and 18-inch height, or two-gallon pot for all shrubs, and
species conform to those recommended by the Urban Forestry Strategic Plan, and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of the landscape plan for
Walgreen’s located in the NW ¼ of Section 16 and the NE ¼ of Section 17.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That revised landscape plans that incorporate the City Forester’s
comments dated September 8, 2003 shall be provided to the Planning Department prior to the
release of building permits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building
Department and that all aspects of this plan as they relate to landscape areas and drainage shall
be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That if occupancy is requested prior to the completion of
landscaping and/or asphalting, a bond, letter of credit or cashiers check equal to twice the value
of said costs must be submitted to the Planning Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this
resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or
both.
