RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO AMEND SECTION 17:4.01(1)
ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS, TO AMEND SECTION 17:8.18 to RENAME THE
L-LOWLAND DISTRICT TO BE THE C-1 LOWLAND CONSERVANCY DISTRICT,
TOP AMEND THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO RENAME THE L-LOWLAND
DISTRICT TO BE THE C-1 LOWLAND CONSERVANCY DISTRICT AND CREATE
SECTION 17.185, C-2 UPLAND CONSERVANCY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Under direction of the Common Council the Planning Department has
prepared revisions to Chapter 17 of the Municipal Code as deemed necessary to
implement the Office Park and Business Park recommendations of the DRAFT
Economic Development Strategic Plan, and
WHEREAS, Said direction included a desire to retain many natural environmental
features in the implementation of said Plan, and
WHEREAS, Said Code changes are prepared under the authority of Section 62.23(7) of
the Wisconsin State Statutes being deemed necessary to promote the public health,
safety, and welfare of the City of Muskego, and
WHEREAS, Said Code changes also require renaming of districts on the Official Zoning
Maps of the City of Muskego, and said nomenclature change does not alter the zoning
regulations applied to parcels, and
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing is scheduled before the Common Council on September
23, 2003.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission hereby recommends to the
Common Council the amendment of Section 17:4.01(1) Establishment Of Districts, the
amendment of Section 17:8.18 of the Municipal Code renaming the L Lowland District to
be the C-1 Lowland Conservation District, the amendment of the Official Zoning Map to
rename the L Lowland District to be the C-1 Lowland Conservation District, and create
Section 17:8.185 of the Municipal Code, C-2 Upland Conservation District.
