RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO VACATE RIGHT-OF-WAY
PREVIOUSLY DEDICATED FOR ST. LEONARD’S DRIVE CUL-DE-SAC
LOCATED IN THE SE ¼ OF SECTION 9
(TAX KEY Nos. 2192.036, 2192.037, 2192.042,2196.972)
WHEREAS, A request to vacate a street right-of-way was initiated by the
Planning Department for property located in the SE ¼ of Section 9, and
WHEREAS, Said right-of-way consists of lands dedicated in 1972 for the
termination of St. Leonard’s Drive at the westerly plat line of St. Leonard’s
Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, Upon platting of the Kristin Downs Subdivision in 1977-1978, St.
Leonard’s Drive was extended further westerly and surplus cul-de-sac
pavement was removed, and
WHEREAS, Said dedication is not necessary to serve future development on
adjoining properties, and
WHEREAS, Said right-of-way is not depicted as necessary on the 2010 Street
System Plan.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends to the
Common Council the vacation of surplus street right-of-way for the cul-de-sac
termination of St. Leonard’s Drive, located in the SE ¼ of Section 9.
