APPROVAL OF A TEMPORARY BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PLAN FOR SALE
OF FIREWORKS AT THE EJ SALENTINE PROPERTY
(S66 W14444 JANESVILLE ROAD)
WHEREAS, A request has been submitted by Heather Siegel to locate a temporary
sales tent and signs advertising the sale of fireworks at the EJ Salentine property
located at S66 W14444 Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, Temporary sales vendors are limited to one on site at any one time, and no
other vendors have been approved for this location, and
WHEREAS, The dates and the hours of operation will be June 26th, 2003 through July
5th, 2003 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and
WHEREAS, The tent canopy will be 20’ x 30’ in size and will contain banners for
signage, and
WHEREAS, Petitioner has received written permission from the property owner for the
use of the premises and its sanitary facilities, and
WHEREAS, There is ample on-site parking to accommodate the temporary use, and
said use does not pose any internal traffic circulation problems, and
WHEREAS, An electrical permit and inspection will be required by the Building
Inspection Department for any proposed electricity hookup.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the request for a
temporary stand at the EJ Salentine site for fireworks sales for Heather Siegel subject to
the following conditions:
1. Dates of operation approved from June 26th, 2003 to July 5th, 2003
2. Hours of operation permitted only from 8am to 9pm
3. Applicable permits / licensing must be obtained from the Building Inspection
department prior to any site work on the property.
4. Petitioner obtains a Transient Merchants License from the Clerk-Treasurer’s
Office.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the tent canopy shall not be located within the
Janesville Road or Tess Corners Drive rights-of-way.
