PCR2002150e RESOLUTION #P.C. 150-2002 RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO REZONE THE DIXON PROPERTY FROM RS-2 / OLR SUBURBAN RESIDENCE WITH LAKESHORE RECREATION OVERLAY DISTRICT TO RS-2 SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRCT LOCATED IN THE SW % OF SECTION 32 (TAX KEY NO. 2287.0161 RACINE AVENUE) WHEREAS, On October 22, 2002 a petition for rezoning was submitted by Donald Dixon to rezone the property identified as Tax Key No. 2287.016 from RS-2 I OLR Suburban Residence with Lakeshore Recreation Overlay District to RS-2 Suburban Residence District, and WHEREAS, The total area to be rezoned would include approximately 4.66 acres to allow for future residential development without the burdensome setback and offset restrictions of the OLR District, and WHEREAS, The area to be rezoned would thereafter be precluded from developing for commercial purposes as may be permitted by the OLR District, and a, WHEREAS, A Public Hearing for the rezoning has been scheduled before the Common Council on November 26,2002, and WHEREAS, The adjacent properties are zoned RS-2 Suburban Residence District, and WHEREAS, The 2010 Comprehensive Plan depicts the property for medium density residential development, and this proposal is consistent with this goal, and THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby recommend approval to the Common Council for the rezoning of approximately 4.66 acres from RS-2 / OLR Suburban Residence with Lakeshore Recreation Overlay District to RS-2 Suburban Residence District.
