APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO A BUILDING, SITE AND OPERATION
PLAN FOR THE BOXHORN BOAT LAUNCH PROPERTY FOR THE PARK AND
RECREATIONN DEPARTMENT LOCATED IN THE NW 'A OF SECTION 23
(BOXHORN DRIVE / TAX KEY NO. 2254.998.004)
WHEREAS, Plans were submitted by the Park and Recreation Department to
amend the existing Building, Site and Operation Plan of the Boxhorn Boat
Launch located in the NW X of Section 23, and
WHEREAS, The existing property contains an existing boat launch, gun club,
and restaurant, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned RS-2 / OLR Suburban Residence District with
Lakeshore Recreation Overlay District and SW / OLR Shoreland District with
Lakeshore Recreation Overlay District and the existing use is in conformance to
all the requirements of said zoning districts, and
WHEREAS, The proposed amendment is to expand paved launch and parking
areas and install exterior lighting in conformance with said zoning districts.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of an
amended Building, Site and Operation Plan for the Boxhorn Boat Launch located
in the NW 'A of Section 23 for the Park and Recreation Department. a
