APPROVAL OF AMENDED MONUMENT SIGN PLAN AND DETERMINATION OF NON-
SUBSTANTIAL CHANGE TO THE APPROVED DREAMLAND PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT AT MOORLAND AND JANESVILLE ROADS /TAX KEY NO. 2167.995
WHEREAS, On July 1. 2002 plans to replace the previously approved monument signs was
submitted by Poblocki and Sons, Inc on behalf of Kohl's Department Stores for the Dreamland
Planned Development at Moorland and Janesville Roads / Tax Key No. 2167.995, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-310PD. General Business District as modified by the
Planned Development District, and building and site signs are permitted subject to Section
17:6.09 of the Zoning Code, and
WHEREAS, Two (2) monuments signs were previously approved by Resolution # PC 080-2001
for the parcel, and each sign measured approximately 9-feet in width and 10-feet in height with 56
square feet of readable area, and
WHEREAS, The petitioner is proposing two monument signs each measuring 103" in height and
are illustrated to be 10'3" from the Janesville Road and Moorland Road rights-of-way. The
12-feet in width, and the readable area will measure approximately 55 square feet, and both signs
previously approved landscape plan will be utilized, and
WHEREAS, The monument sign will be internally illuminated, and reflect the Kohl's and Jewel-
Osco corporate colors. and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of an amendment to the
sign plan for the Dreamland Planned Development at Moorland and Janesville Roads. .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission determines this to be a non-substantial
change to the approved Dreamland Planned Development District and no public hearing shall be
required.
