RESOLUTION #P.C. 033a-2002
RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO AMEND CHAPTER 17, ZONING,
PERTAINING TO RUSTIC STRUCTURES
WHEREAS, At the request of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR).
Planning staff has reviewed Chapter 17 of the Municipal Code and forwarded recommended
revisions as attached hereto, pertaining to Rustic Structures, and
WHEREAS, Said amendments would facilitate the WDNR land acquisition process related to
the Big Muskego Estates Wildlife Area, and
WHEREAS, Said amendments would preserve rural structures and permit land owners to
maintain outbuilding associated with agricultural practices, and
WHEREAS, Said amendments would implement recommendations of the Conservation Plan
by maintaining rural character, and
WHEREAS, A public hearing has been scheduled to consider the matter on March 26,2002.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends the attached
revisions to Chapter 17. m, to the Common Council, as amended by the City Attorney
and dated March 8,2002.
