PCR2002010I. RESOLUTION #PC. 010-2002 I APPROVAL OF STREET TREE PLANTING PLAN AND LANDSCAPE PLAN FOR THE MARTIN ESTATES SUBDIVISION LOCATED IN THE SW %OF SECTION 7 (TAX KEY NO. 2187.999). WHEREAS, On January 11, 2002 a Street Tree Plan and Landscape Plan was submitted by Martin Estates LLC for the Martin Estates Subdivision located in the SW ‘A of Section 7, and WHEREAS, Said plan require the planting of deciduous species for street trees of 1.5 - 2” caliper, and said species are recommended by the Urban Forestry Strategic Plan as Adopted July 11,2000, and WHEREAS, The diversity of street trees is within the specifications outlined in the Urban Forestry Development Information brochure as recommended by the Urban Forestry Strategic Plan, and WHEREAS, The Landscape Plan depicts the disturbed portions of the outlots to be seeded with prairie seed mix and said mix is not to the specifications recommended by the City’s Conservation Coordinator, and WHEREAS, The Landscape Plan provides screening and buffering from adjoining residences to the north and south, and all coniferous species are proposed to be a minimum of 6 feet in height at the time of planting as required by the Urban Forestry Strategic Pian, and WHEREAS, The Landscape Plan provides for a continuation of the Field Drive street tree canopy. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Pian Commission approves of the street tree plan for the Martin Estates Subdivision located in the SW ‘A of Section 7 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the prairie seed mixes used in the Outlots shall conform to the Conservation Coordinator’s specifications as depicted in the Martin Estates Open Space Management Pian as approved by Resolution #PC 009-2002.
