APPROVAL OF BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PLAN
FOR A TRANSPORTATION TERMINAL FOR G&G SPECIALIZED CARRIERS
AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT S81 W18990 APOLLO DRIVE
(TAX KEY NO. 2221.002)
WHEREAS, On August 10,2001, plans were submitted by Robert Swan for a
Building, Site and Operation Plan for a Transportation Terminal at the property
located at S81 W 18990 Apollo Drive, and
WHEREAS, Said property is currently zoned 1-1 General Industrial District, and
said use is a permitted use by right subject to Plan Commission approval of a
Building, Site and Operation Plan, and
WHEREAS, The property is approximately one acre is size and includes a 4,775
square foot structure, and said property and structure are legal and conforming
to the 1-1 District requirements, and
WHEREAS, Petitioner proposed to operate five tractor trailers Monday through
Friday, with on-site maintenance of said vehicles to occur on Saturdays, and e WHEREAS, Outdoor storage is limited to the five tractor trailers and any load
they may be carrying, and
WHEREAS, The existing property is fenced with chain link and storage of the
tractor trailers is required to be screened from public view.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of the
Building, Site and Operation Plan as submitted August 10, 2001 by Robert Swan
for a Transportation Terminal at property located at S81 W18990 Apollo Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That within 120 days of occupancy, fiberglass
slats shall be added to the chain link fence to screen all outdoor storage from
public view.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the
Building Department and that all aspect of this plan as they relate to landscape
areas and drainage shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise
authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained
in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the
initiation of legal action, or both.
