PCR2001083e RESOLUTION #P.C. 083-2001 RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO AMEND THE 2010 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PERTAINING TO THE DREAMLAND PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, LOCATED IN THE SE 'A OF SECTION 2 (PART OF TAX KEY NO. 2167.995) WHEREAS, A petition to amend the 2010 Comprehensive Plan was submitted by National Survey and Engineering on behalf of Jewel Food Stores Inc. and Kohls Department Store, relating to the Dreamland Planned Development District property located at the northeast corner of Janesville Road and Moorland Road, being a part of Tax Key No. 2167.995, and WHEREAS, The adopted 2010 Comprehensive Plan illustrates that this area is to be used for mixed use commercial and multiple family residential use consistent with 6-3, 8-4, and RSM zoning classifications, and WHEREAS, The proposed amendment would eliminate all multiple family residential development on the Dreamland property, would add approximately 7 acres of commercial use consistent with 8-3 and 8-4 zoning designations, and would preserve over 12 acres of land in permanent open space use, and WHEREAS, On April 3, 2001 the Plan Commission granted conceptual approval for said amendment to the 2010 Plan, by Resolution #PC 048-2001, and e WHEREAS, A Public Hearing regarding the substantial change to the Dreamland Planned Development District is scheduled for July 10, 2001 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby recommend approval to the Common Council for the amendment to the 2010 Comprehensive Plan, as depicted in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
