APPROVAL OF A TEMPORARY AMENDMENT TO A BUILDING, SITE AND
OPERATION PLAN FOR THE SENTRY FOODS PROPERTY LOCATED AT W 189
S7847 RACINE AVENUE (PART OF TAX KEY NO. 2192.973) e
WHEREAS, On May 3,2001 Plans were submitted by Sentry Foods for a temporary
amendment to the existing building, site and operation plan of the property located at
W 189 S7847 Racine Avenue, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-2 Local Service Center District and the existing use
is in conformance to all the requirements of said zoning district, and
WHEREAS, The proposal includes the operation of a fundraising food stand to be
operated on Sunday May 27,2001 between the hours of 1O:OO am and 6:OO pm, and
WHEREAS, Petitioner proposes to install an outdoor tent no earlier than Friday May 25,
2001, and remove said tent no later than Tuesday May 29,2001, and
WHEREAS, The proposed amendment is to run concurrent with the approved transient
merchant license and Building Site and Operation Plan for a seasonal garden center, and
such uses are in conformance with said zoning district as accessory uses, incidental to an
approved principal use or operation. e THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of a temporary amendment to the Building, Site and Operation Plan for Sentry Foods to operate a
fundraising food sales tent on Sunday May 27,2001 at the property located at W189
S7847 Racine Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That all outdoor installations shall be placed no earlier
than Friday May 25,2001, and shall be removed no later than Tuesday May 29,2001
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That adequate trash receptacles be placed on site for use
throughout the temporary operation on May 27,2001, and all receptacles shall be
properly emptied and removed from site no later than 8:OO pm on Sunday May 27,2001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in
this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $1 00 per day, the initiation of legal
action, or both.
