RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO ACQUIRE LANDS
LOCATED IN THE SE 1/4 OF SECTION 9
(W179 S7726 PIONEER DRIVE /TAX KEY NO. 2196.988)
WHEREAS, The Parks and Recreation Director has recommended that lands be
acquired adjacent to the Parks Garage and former Town Hall, located on Pioneer
Drive in the SE 1/4 Of Section 9, and
WHEREAS, The property is currently used for single family residential purposes,
and
WHEREAS, The Comprehensive Plan depicts this area to remain in residential
use, and a Plan amendment would be required in order to use the property for
public purposes.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends the
acquisition of W179 S7726 Pioneer Drive I Tax Key No. 2196.988.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission will be receptive to a
rezoning petition to include the OIP - Institutional and Public Service Overlay
District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission will be receptive to an
amendment to the 2010 Comprehensive Plan to depict the property for
institutional use associated with the Parks Department property.
