RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO APPROVE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE SANITARY SEWER SERVICE AREA FOR LANDS
LOCATED IN THE SE 'A OF SECTION 16
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego sanitary sewer service area tributary to the
Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSED) is documented in the
Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) Community
Assistant Planning Report No. 64 (3rd edition), Sanitary Sewer Service Area for
the City of Muskego, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, dated December 1997, as
amended, and
WHEREAS, By letter dated February 23,2001 the City of Muskego requested
that SEWRPC amend said plan to re-delineate environmentally significant lands
in the SE 'A of Section 16, and
WHEREAS, By letter dated April 18,2001 SEWRPC has completed the re-
delineation, and has presented the City of Muskego with a plan amendment for
consideration.
e WHEREAS, A Public Hearing for the proposal has been scheduled before the
Common Council on May 22,2001, and
WHEREAS, The 2010 Comprehensive Plan depicts this specific area being
developed for medium density residential use, and the proposal is consistent
with that designation.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby
recommend approval to the Common Council for the amendment to the
SEWRPC Community Assistant Planning Report No. 64 (3rd edition), Sanitary
Sewer Service Area for the City of Muskego, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, as
depicted in the April 18, 2001 correspondence.
