RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO REZONE A PROPERTY LOCATED
ON LOOMIS DRIVE FROM RSE SUBURBAN ESTATE AND A -AGRICULTURE
DISTRICTS TO RSE SUBURBAN ESTATE AND A - AGRICULTURE
DISTRICTS WITH OIP INSTITUTIONAL AND PUBLIC SERVICE OVERLAY
DISTRICT, LOCATED IN THE SE 'A OF SECTION 25 (TAX KEY NO. 2260.992)
WHEREAS, A petition for rezoning was submitted by the Tess Corners Volunteer
Fire Department, to rezone the vacant property located on Loomis Drive, referred
to as Tax Key No. 2260.992 from RSE Suburban Estate and A - Agriculture
Districts to RSE Suburban Estate and A - Agriculture Districts with OIP
Institutional and Public Service Overlay District, and
WHEREAS, The total area to be rezoned would include sufficient acreage to
allow for development of a fire station in accordance with the OIP District
regulations, and
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing for the rezoning has been scheduled before the
Common Council on April 10,2001 and
WHEREAS, The adopted 201 0 Comprehensive Plan illustrates that this area is to
be used for commercial use consistent with 8-3 and B-4 zoning classifications,
and said rezoning does not appear to be in conformance with the Plan, and
WHEREAS, The adopted 2010 Comprehensive Plan does not provide specific
recommendations for the locations of future public service facilities, and the Plan
should be amended from time to time when said facilities are required, and
WHEREAS, said property is served by municipal sanitary sewer and private
water service.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby
recommend approval to the Common Council for the rezoning of the property
identified as Tax Key No. 2260.992. from RSE Suburban Residence and A -
Agriculture District to RSE Suburban Residence and A - Agriculture District with
OIP Institutional and Public Service Overlay District.
