BIOSOURCE FLAVORS INC. FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT S66 W14328 JANESVILLE ROAD
DETERMINATION OF USE AND APPROVAL OF A BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PLAN FOR
IN THE NW !A OF SECTION 2 (TAX KEY NO. 2165.978)
WHEREAS, A Business Registration form and BSO Narrative was submitted on March 8, 2002 by Dr, N.
Suresh representing BioSource Flavors Inc. for a Building, Site and Operation Plan for a biotechnical
company specializing in the manufacture of cultures, natural food flavors, custom fermentation, and
contract research and development operations on the property at S66 W14328 Janesville Road, (Tax Key
No. 2165.978). and
WHEREAS, Said property is currently zoned B-2 Local Service Center District and 8-3 General Business
District, the structure is entirely within the B-3 General Business District, and as said use is not identified
as a permitted or conditional use, and
WHEREAS, Per Chapter 17:5.01(3) the Plan Commission shall make a determination of use where the
proposed use is not specifically listed in the Zoning Code, and
WHEREAS, The operations will occur generally Monday through Friday, 7:OOam to 5:OOpm. with no
Saturday or Sunday operations, and
WHEREAS, All materials will be contained within the existing building and no product or materials will be
stored outdoors, and
WHEREAS, No exterior modifications are proposed at this time, and
WHEREAS, The petitioner indicates that there will be three (3) on-site employees.

@ THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission determines tkat this biotechnical
companiesy afe is permitted by right in the 8-3 General Business District subject to Plan Commission
approval of a Building Site and Operation Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of a Building, Site and Operation
Plan for BioSource Flavors Inc. for the manufacture of cultures, natural food flavors, custom fermentation.
and contract research and development operations as depicted in the Business Plan Submitted March
8,2002 for BR the property at S66 W14328 Janesville Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and
that all aspects of this plan as they relate to landscape areas and drainage shall be maintained in
perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall
result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
