RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO ADOPT A DIGITAL ZONING MAP IN
CONFORMANCE WITH SECTION 17:3.04(3) OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, The Planning Department maintains zoning maps for the City of Muskego in paper
form at a scale of 1”-200, and said maps are in disrepair, and
WHEREAS, Section 17:3.04(3) of the Zoning Ordinance states,
In the event that the Zoning Map becomes damaged, destroyed, lost or difficult to interpret because of the
nature or number of changes and additions the Common Council may by resolution, adopt a new Zoning
Map, which shall supersede the prior Zoning Map. The new Zoning Map may correct drafting or other errors
or omissions in the prior Zoning Map, but no such correction shall have the effect of amending the original
zoning ordinance or any subsequent amendment thereof, and
WHEREAS, The Planning Department has prepared replacement maps in digital form capable
of display in various scales and capable of being presented to the public via the world wide
web, and
WHEREAS, The Plan Commission has reviewed the proposed digital map
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission hereby recommends the
adoption of the digital zoning map to the Common Council.
