RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO REZONE A PART OF THE DENOON
PARK PROPERTY FROM RCE RESIDENTIAL COUNTRY ESTATE DISTRICT
INSTITUTIONAL AND PUBLIC SERVICE OVERLAY DISTRICT LOCATED IN
THE SE X OF SECTION 30 (TAX KEY NO. 2280.993.003 I KELSEY DRIVE)
TO RCE-OIP RESIDENTIAL COUNTRY ESTATE DISTRICT WITH
WHEREAS, A petition for rezoning was submitted by the City of Muskego
Planning Director to rezone the portion of the Denoon Park property lying north of
Kelsey Drive from RCE Residential Country Estate District to RCE-OIP
Residential Country Estate District with Institutional and Public Service Overlay
District. and
WHEREAS, The total area to be rezoned would include approximately 8 acres to
allow for public purposes including stormwater management and Denoon Park
expansion, and
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing for the rezoning has been scheduled before the
Common Council on December 12,2000, and
WHEREAS, Surrounding lands are zoned agricultural to the north, residential to
the east and west, and residential and park to the south, and
WHEREAS, The 2010 Comprehensive Plan and the 2005 Park and Open Space
Plan anticipate this specific area being set aside for public open space and
recreational use.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby
recommend approval to the Common Council for the rezoning of approximately 8
acres from RCE Residential Country Estate District to RCE-OIP Residential
Country Estate District with Institutional and Public Service Overlay District
