RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL TO ACQUIRE LANDS
LOCATED IN THE SE 114 OF SECTION 24 (VALLEY GREEN LIFT STATION)
WHEREAS, The Utility Department has recommended that lands be acquired for
a sanitary sewer lift station generally located in the SE 114 of Section 24, and
WHEREAS, The Utility Department has identified approximately 15,000 square
feet of land generally in the vicinity of the North Cape Road, north of Ryan Road
for such purposes, and
WHEREAS, The 2010 Comprehensive Plan depicts this area to be used for
residential purposes consistent with the RS-3 Suburban Residence District, and
WHEREAS, The development of such uses require the provision of sanitary
sewer service, and
WHEREAS, Such development would require the addition of the OIP Institutional
and Public Service Overlay District.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends the
acquisition of approximately 15,000 square feet of land generally located in the
SE 1/4 of Section 24 for the purpose of constructing a sanitary sewer lift station.
