APPROVAL OF A BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PIAN AMENDMENT FOR THE
VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK PROPERTY FOR THE LIONS CLUB LOCATED IN
THE NW 114 OF SECTION 16 (TAX KEY 2221.993)
WHEREAS, On August 15, 2000 plans were submitted by the Lions Club for a building,
site and operation plan amendment for a 1,320 (30' x 44') square foot picnic shelter for
Veterans Memorial Park, and
WHEREAS, Said property is currently zoned Rs-2 Suburban Residence District and
OIP Institution and Public Service Overlay District, and the proposed structure is a
permitted accessory structure said districts, and
WHEREAS, the proposed structure meets all setback and offset requirements for the
Rs-2/01P District and is limited in height to 15 feet, and
WHEREAS, The picnic shelter proposal was approved by the Park and Recreation
Board at their July 10, 2000 meeting.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of the building,
site and operation plan amendment to construct a 1,320 square foot picnic shelter
located at Veterans Memorial Park.
