RESOLUTION #P.C. 163-2000
APPROVAL OF CHAPTER 36 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, WIRELESS
COMMUNICATION FACILITIES SITING AND RECOMMENDATION OF SAME TO THE
COMMON COUNCIL
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego Common Council adopted Resolution 48-2000,
determining the need for new ordinances relating to wireless communications facilities, and
establishing a six month moratorium pending the completion of such work, and
WHEREAS, The Planning Department has researched the regulation of wireless
communications facilities and has solicited expert opinion from interested citizens,
attorneys, consultants, and wireless industry professionals, and
WHEREAS, Such efforts have resulted in the development of Chapter 36 of the Municipal
Code pursuant to the zoning authority vested in the Muskego Common Council, and
WHEREAS, A public hearing has been scheduled for August 8,2000, and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby approve the
creation of Chapter 36 of the Municipal Code, Wireless Communications Facilities Sitina
as amended with comments from the August 8, 2000 Public Hearing, as attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends the adoption of
Chapter 36 of the Municipal Code, Wireless Communications Facilities Siting to the
Common Council.
