PCR2000148APPROVED RESOLUTION #P.C. 148-2000 RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO REZONE THE RAUSCH PROPERTY FROM DISTRICT TO RSA ATACHED SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT, OPD LOWLAND DISTRICT, LOCATED IN THE SE % OF SECTION 17 RS-2 SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT, W - WETLAND DISTRICT AND L - LOWLAND PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, AND W - WETLAND DISTRICT AND L - (TAX KEY NO. 2228.998 I WOODS ROAD) WHEREAS, On July 7, 2000, a petition for rezoning was submitted by Wayne Salentine and Reno Berg to rezone the Rausch property from RS-2 Suburban Residence District, W - Wetland District and L - Lowland District to RSA Attached Single Family Residence District, OPD Planned Development District, and W - Wetland District and L - Lowland District, and WHEREAS, The total area to be rezoned would include approximately 20 acres, and WHEREAS, The rezoning was a condition of approval of a sketch land division approved by the Plan Commission under Resolution #P.C. 85-99, and WHEREAS, A Public Hearing for the rezoning has been scheduled before the Common Council on August 8,2000, and WHEREAS, The adjacent properties are zoned 1-1 Industrial Park to the north, RS-2 Suburban Residence with Planned Development Overlay to the east (single family) and west (single family attached), RS-1 Suburban Residence with OIP Institutional and Public Service Overlay, and WHEREAS, The City of Muskego 2010 Comprehensive Plan anticipates this specific area being set aside for medium density residential uses not exceeding 2.0 dwellings per acre, and the Commission found that the proposed densities as represented by the sketch land division as approved by Resolution #P.C. 085-99 were in keeping with the goals of the 2005 land Use Plan. WHEREAS, The City of Muskego 2010 Comprehensive Plan anticipates this specific area being set aside for medium density residential uses not exceeding 4.4 dwellings per acre, and the Commission found that the proposed densities as represented by the sketch land division as approved by Resolution #P.C. 085-99 were in keeping with the goals of the 2005 land Use Plan. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby recommend approval to the Common Council for the rezoning of approximately 20 acres from RS-2 Suburban Residence District, W - Wetland District and L - Lowland District to RSA Attached Single Family Residence District, OPD Planned Development District, and W - Wetland District and L - Lowland District.
