RESOLUTION #P.C. 136-2000
APPROVAL OF WALL AND MONUMENT SIGNS FOR ARBYS RESTAURANT AT
THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT S73 W16770 JANESVILLE ROAD (TAX KEY NO.
2198.984.006)
WHEREAS, Plans for a monument sign and wall sign were submitted by Brian Cooley
for the Arby's restaurant property at the address located at S73 W16770 Janesville
Road on July 6,2000, and
WHEREAS, A 33 square foot monument sign is proposed along Janesville Road and
will contain a 6.5 square foot reader board, and
WHEREAS, Said sign will be internally illuminated with a burgundy background and
white cut-out corporate logo and letters, and will be mounted on a two foot high brick
pedestal matching the primary structure, and
WHEREAS, Landscaping has been proposed for the base of the monument sign, and
WHEREAS, The monument sign will have an overall height of 7 feet from grade, and
therefore may be located with a zero (0) foot setback from the right-of-way, and
WHEREAS, A 28 square foot wall sign is proposed on the facade of the structure 0 facing Janesville Road with 42 inch, internally illuminated, maroon, channel letters, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned B310PD, General Business District as modified by
the Planned Development Overlay, and said signage conforms with the requirements of
Section 6.09 of the Zoning Ordinance and requires Plan Commission approval prior to
the issuance of a building and zoning permit.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve a 33 square foot
monument sign and a 28 square foot wall sign that were submitted by Brian Cooley for
the Arby's property located at S73 W16770 Janesville Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a
copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspect of this
plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan
Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this
resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal
action, or both.
