PCR2000121e RESOLUTION #P.C.121-2000 AMENDMENT TO THE 2005 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR LANDS LOCATED IN THE SW 114 OF SECTION 2, SE 114 OF SECTION 3, NE 114 OF SECTION 10, AND NW 114 OF SECTION 11 WHEREAS, The Common Council's Committee of the Whole has recommended that lands be acquired for a community center, generally located in the SW 114 Of Section 2, SE 114 Of Section 3, NE 114 Of Section 10, and NW 114 of Section 11, and generally in the vicinity of the southwest corner of Janesville Road and Moorland Road, and WHEREAS, The adopted 2005 Comprehensive Plan depicts this area to be used for business purposes consistent with the B-3 General Business District and RS-2 Suburban Residence District, and WHEREAS, The development of a community center structure is generally compatible with uses found in the B-3 District and the development of related on-site recreational facilities are generally compatible with the uses found in the RS-2 District, and WHEREAS, such development would require the addition of the OIP Institutional and Public Service Overlay District, and THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission amends the 2005 0 Comprehensive Plan to depict approximately 30 acres of Institutional land use generally located in the SW 114 of Section 2, SE 114 of Section 3, NE 114 of Section 10, and NW 114 of Section 11, and generally in the vicinity of the southwest corner of Janesville Road and Moorland Road. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this recommendation shall be forwarded to the 2010 Comprehensive Plan Committee for their consideration when finalizing the 2010 Plan.
