APPROVAL OF A 525 SQUARE FOOT ACCESSORY STRUCTURE FOR THE KOCH
PROPERTY LOCATED AT W194 S7255 RICHDORF DRIVE (TAX KEY NO.

WHEREAS, A site plan and construction information was submitted by Bernhardt Koch
to construct a 576 sq. fl. accessory structure at the property located at W194 S7255
Richdorf Dr on June 9,2000, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned Rs-2, Suburban Residence District, where said
structure is a permitted accessory use and subject to Plan Commission review per
Section 4.05 (2) C.l, and
WHEREAS, The total square footage for accessory structures is limited to 60% of the
livable first floor area of the residence and the property is allowed 605 square feet of
total square footage of accessory buildings, and an 80 SF metal shed currently exists
on the property, and said structure is proposed to be constructed to match the existing
residence with vinyl siding and an asphalt shingled roof, and
WHEREAS, The location of the structure must maintain all necessary offsets and
setbacks, the height is limited to 12 feet, the architectural appearance is compatible
with the applicant's surrounding area, and the petitioners do not propose the use of this
nor any other structure on the property for business related activities.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of an accessory
structure not exceeding 525 square feet for the Koch property at W194 S7255 Richdorf
structure not be used for the operation of a business nor the storage of business
related material or equipment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The structure shall be located at least 15' from the north
property line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the terms of this resolution
and the approved site plans shall result in the issuance of fines of $1 00 per day per
violation, the initiation of legal action, or both.
