APPROVAL OF STREET TREE PLAN FOR THE CHAMPIONS VILLAGE ADD.
NO. 2 OF COUNTRY CLUB VILLAGES PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE NW %
OF SECTION 25
(LLOYD MANGRUM AND CHICK EVANS COURTS)
WHEREAS, On May 15, 2000 a street tree plan was submitted by Richard Kinter
for the Champions Village Addition No. 2 properties located in the NW % of
Section 25, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 18.60(3) of the Land Division Ordinance requires plantings
every 50' of street frontage and located outside of the City street right-of-way and
within 5' of the front lot line (on the homeownets lot), and
WHEREAS, The Land Division Ordinance recommends specific trees for planting
and said plan meets this requirement, and
WHEREAS, The proposed plan indicates the planting of nineteen (19) Norway
Maples and this is in conflict with the recommendation of the Urban Forestry
Committee, and
WHEREAS, The plan does not indicate the caliper of trees to be installed and the
City requires a minimum caliper of 2.5 inches.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of a street
tree plan for the Champions Village Addition No. 2 properties located in the NW
X of Section 25.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the trees to be planted will have a minimum
caliper of 2.5 inches.
