PCR2000090DEFEATED RESOLUTION #P.C. 090-2000 RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO REZONE THE LANDVEST DEVELOPMENT GROUP, INC. PROPERTY FROM A -AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT AND OHS DISTRICT, LOCATED IN THE NW % OF SECTION 18 (TAX KEY NO. 2231.998 I JANESVILLE ROAD) HIGHWAY SERVICE OVERLAY DISTRICT TO 8-2 LOCAL SERVICE CENTER WHEREAS, On April 20, 2000 a petition for rezoning was submitted by Landvest Development Group, Inc. to rezone property from A -Agricultural District and OHS Highway Service District to 8-2 Local Service Center District, and WHEREAS, The total area to be rezoned.would include approximately 32 acres to commercial and retail development, and WHEREAS, The adopted 2005 Comprehensive Plan indicates the subject land is to remain in agricultural and rural use, and WHEREAS, The draft 2010 Comprehensive Plan indicates that indicates the subject land is to remain in agricultural and rural use, but recommends that five (5) to ten (IO) acres of land be rezoned to the 8-2 district, generally in the vicinity of the intersection of Crowbar Road and Janesville Road, and WHEREAS, A Public Hearing for the rezoning has been scheduled before the Common Council on May 23,2000, and WHEREAS, The adjacent properties are zoned A - Agricultural District and OHS Highway Service District to the east, EA - Exclusive Agriculture to the south, B-2 Local Service Center to the west, and 1-2 General Industrial to the north, and THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does hereby recommend approval to the Common Council for the rezoning of approximately 32 acres from A - Agricultural and OHS Highway Service Overlay, to 8-2 Local Service Center Plan Commission City of Muskego Adopted: Defeated: July 18, 2000 Deferred: May 16,2000; June 6,2000; June 20,2000 Introduced: Mav 16, 2000 ATTEST Sandi Asti.
