PCR19981680 RESOLUTION #P.C. 168-98 APPROVAL OF A CONCEPTUAL PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR THE ROSEWOOD ESTATES SUBDIVISION BY GLEN MILLER, LOCATED IN THE NE AND NW ‘A’S OF SECTION 11 (TAX KEY NO. 2202.994) WHEREAS, A conceptual preliminary plat for the Rosewood Estates Subdivision, a 20 acre, 43 single family lot subdivision, was submitted by Glen Miller for the Miller property located south of Westcot Drive between Durham Drive and the proposed Moorland Road Corridor in the NE and NW X’s of Section 11, on September 15, 1998, and WHEREAS, Said property is zoned RS-2, Suburban Residence, requiring single family residences in a minimum lot size of 20,000 square feet and an average minimum width of 110 feet, and said lots do not meet said minimum zoning requirements, and WHEREAS, The petitioner proposes to rezone the property RS-2/0PD, Suburban Residence District with a Planned Development Overlay WHEREAS, The Land Use 2005 Plan depicts this area as medium density residential development and this plan is in conformance, and WHEREAS, Said parcels are within the City’s sewer service area and will access water via a a community well, and THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of a submittal of a preliminary plat for a 20 acre, 43 single family lots, preliminary plat for the Rosewood Estates Subdivision and that an application for rezoning of the property be submitted by Glen Miller, located in the NE and NW ‘A’s of Section 1 I.
