APPROVAL TO AMEND 100 YEAR FLOOD PLAIN AND ALTER WETLAND
BOUNDARIES FOR THE RYBACK PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE SE 'A OF SECTION 17
WHEREAS, A petition was submitted by Brian Meyer to amend the 100 year flood plain and alter
wetland boundaries for the Ryback property located in the SE % of Section 17 on September 8, 1998,
and
WHEREAS, The petitioner proposes to fill in 165 feet north from the front lot line while adding 2
feet of fill within this area, not including the wetlands south of the line, and
WHEREAS, The area of the fill would include realtering the 100 year flood plain and filling in of
wetlands,
WHEREAS, This lot received previous approval by the Common Council to amend the 100 year
flood plain, but has not been granted approval by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and
WHERAS, Such a request requires approval of the Department of Natural Resources, Army
Corps of Engineers and the Common Council.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of the concept of
amending the 100 year flood plain and altering the wetland boundaries I65 feet north of the front
line of the subject property pending a formal submittal of Flood Plain Amendment Application and
Wetland Alteration Application.
