PCR1998153RESOLUTlON #P.C. 153-98 APPROVAL OF A MAIN IDENTIFICATION SIGN FOR THE US POSTAL SERVICE, AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT S74 W16860 JANESVILLE ROAD WHEREAS, Plans for two (2) main identification signs were submitted by the US Postal Service, for the property located at S74 W16860 Janesville Road on August 20, 1998, and WHEREAS, The signs would be wall fixtures and internally illuminated, the wall sign on the south elevation would total 89 square feet and the wall sign on the east elevation would total 54.2 square feet, and WHEREAS, The south elevation only permits 64 square feet of wall signage and the east elevation only permits 109 square feet of wall signage, and WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-UOPD, Highway Business District with a Planned Development Overlay and said signage exceeds the permitted square footage as defined in Section 6.09 of the Zoning Ordinance. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of two (2) wall signs, a maximum 64 square foot sign on the south elevation and a 54.2 square foot sign on the east elevation, and both wall signs are to be internally illuminated, and non-illuminates stripes are not calculated in total square footage, but if illuminated, striping shall conform to the ordinance size limitation for the US Postal Service at the property located at S74 W16860 Janesville Road. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspect of this shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
